About Sea Battle
Sea Battle follows the classic pencil-and-paper naval game that has been played for over a century. Each fleet is placed at random, so every game is different.
Your fleet is private: only you can see where your ships are.

- Early on, fire in a checkerboard pattern: every ship covers at least two squares.
History of the game
The game was played on paper before World War I and was later sold as the board game Battleship.
How we built and tested Sea Battle
We tested every rule by having the computer play thousands of moves against itself at each player count, making sure every game ends properly and no illegal move is ever accepted. Online rooms were tested with two simulated players joining the same room and taking turns.
